If I could travel to any fictional book world, it would be fun to visit J.M. Barrie's Neverland. When I do speaking engagements I often encourage people to think the way they did when they were in their teens. When you're young you believe you can do anything. As we get older, and take on more responsibilities, we tend to get in a mindset that we can't do or have certain things. In Neverland some people cease to age, or like Peter pan, refuse to grow up. It would be quite an adventure to spend time with the fairies and mermaids there and of course the cultural icon Peter Pan (and watch him fly) not to mention all the other interesting characters. What a fun question! Ricky and Lucy are my favorite fictional couple. (Even though they were also married in real life) I love that they both embraced each other's quirks. They were oddly matched and so much fun to watch. It was uplifting to know that whatever zany situations she got herself into, he loved her and the episode would have a happy ending. Gotta love that.

Everyone wants to be happy and we all can. Happiness is not about having the best of everything, it is about making the best of everything. See the good in all situations and be grateful for what you have.

"Choose Happy" is my most recent book. I wrote it because everyone wants to be and deserves to be be happy. The idea came to me because I know people with a lot of "toys" who are not happy and people with few material things that are very happy. The book is filled with suggestions on how everyone can live a happier life each day.

My advice for aspiring writers is go for it! Writing is such a wonderful form of expression. So many people have an idea that they want to write about but talk themselves out of it. The best way to get started is just to start. Sit down and write that first sentence. The rest will come. Good luck!

There are so many great things about being a writer. It affords you a lot of freedom.You can write any time and from anywhere. It is also a wonderful way to express and share your thoughts. For me the best thing is connecting with readers.
