How do you deal with writer’s block?
Latasha Mclaughlin I let my mind rest and don't think about it. It may take months but when I'm over it, I always know.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Latasha Mclaughlin For me it would be writing the story itself.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Latasha Mclaughlin Never give up. I been trying to get my books out there for with hopes of an agent picking me and so far no luck. I refuse to give up!

What are you currently working on?
Latasha Mclaughlin I am working on my first middle grade novel. It's also different for me as I am writing from the eyes of an 11 year old boy who is going through a lot.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Latasha Mclaughlin It came to me at work out of the blue. When writing the main character, I knew I wanted him to be like my son. My husband gave me an idea for my plot so I changed it and I think it was for the better
