I saw a photo of a bird sat on an elephants back, this brought forward thoughts about the wonderful conversations they might share together. What would the bird: ask? say? be like? How would the elephant: be? sound like? behave? All these thoughts filled my mind and 'The Bird and the Elephant' was born.

Inspiration comes from everywhere, it's impossible for me to pin point. I'm currently working in Australia, i just walked through a place called Rymill park in Adelaide, it inspired me greatly. Look around and be in the moment.

Being in control of the story. Taking whatever twist and turn you desire. Life is full of things we can't control, but when you're a writer, your story will never be one of them!

Simply walk away and do something else, the worst thing you can do is try and force it. Even if it's a 15 minute walk outside or just a long shower. When i find i'm stuck on a particular part, the idea comes to me when i stop focussing on it so intensely.
