Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Ellen Arrand My idea for my most recent book, Hotel Abundancia, came from three extended trips I took to Mexico. I fell in love with Mexico and it became a background to most of the novel, as well as a kind of character itself: bighearted, down-to-earth, colourful, unsentimental, romantic, forgiving, and expansive. Mexico changed me and I think it changes my main character, Sara.
