I like the idea of magic and fairies. So I think I would like to go to a place with magic and a back to basics kind of life. Where people are more concerned about treating each other with kindness than getting the better of someone. Where money doesn’t exist and everyone is equal.
In Nora Roberts trilogy Dragon Heart Legacy this is the way of life in Talamh . I think I would like this but without the crazy god who wants to destroy everything. Just the peaceful stuff.

Since summer is over and we’re into fall now I’m going to adjust this question a little. Over the summer I read Nora Roberts first two books in the Dragon Heart Legacy. I’m waiting for book three of the series to come out this month. It’s not her usual style but that isn’t a bad thing at all. I believe if we don’t try new things, if we don’t challenge our writing style and what we are capable of creating we go stagnant. So I enjoy reading this escape from the norm.

I read every day. I pay attention to people around me. Some times I’ll see a situation and think, ‘that’s what I need!’ Or I’ll read a scene and it will spark an idea. It can hit anytime so I keep my phone on paper handy to jot down ideas so I don’t forget it.

The Moss Bluff Series is what I’m working on right now. It’s actually a spin off series of The Dual Threat Series. The first two series I’ve published are sports romance books. When I started to tell Beckett’s story, I wanted it to be very different from the wealth and glamour of the Bradford’s and Segler’s. He’s the black sheep of the family so the story needed to show where he came from, the difference between the two worlds.

I’m able to make my own hours and be able to spend more time with my kids.

I take a break. I tend to work best on several projects at once. If I lose my thoughts on one story, I work on a different one. I’ll go back and read everything that I’ve written to get the feel of the story again and just let it sit for a bit. Usually once I read through it I find the road again.

Keep writing and never give up. It takes a lot of blood sweat and tears to get that first book exactly the way you want it. It’s not easy and there are plenty of times you feel like giving up. Don’t. Keep trying and you will get there.

I’m currently working on several projects. I’m focusing on The Moss Bluff Series that will be released January 2023. This is a four book series that is a spin off of The Dual Threat Series. Taking Beckett Eldren to the small town of Moss Bluff where his life takes a drastic turn.
