I have read lots and lots of things on writers block...about the only thing I found that they all had in common is that writer's block can affect anyone, anytime. The truth is, what works for me might not work for others. But in case it does, I try talking to my characters and ask them about the problem. If that doesnt work I try playing with words to see if something comes to me.

Never give up. It can seem really hard sometimes when the ideas dry up or that plot you need just doesnt seem to come together but never give up. Also, try interviewing your characters - informally that is - ask them questions, let them talk to you, find out who they really are. The more you know them the more real they will seem in your stories.

Ideas can come from many places...dreams...experiences...even things you read in newspapers or books.
