Linda Mooney Hi, Summer!
I've been writing since I was in elementary school. But I wasn't published until 2006.
I am happy to add you as a friend!

Linda
Linda Mooney Writing was my escape from the real world when I was growing up. I watched a lot of television and read many books, and sometimes I hated it when a particular show or tome ended. I wanted them to continue, so I wrote my own stories to fulfill that need. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized that some of what I'd written was considered fanfic. But a lot of what I'd written was all my own, and that's the path I pursued when it came to being published.
Linda Mooney I never know what the next book will be until it hits me. I've tried new genres I've never written before, and gone back to genres I love to revisit.

I'm currently fulfilling my New Year's Resolution regarding series, and I want to do the same thing again next year. And this three things: 1) End a series, 2) Continue a Series, and 3) Begin a new series.
Linda Mooney Keep writing. Don't stop, even if the sales are low, the accolades are nonexistent, and real life is pressing down on you. Write for YOUR pleasure. Write because it sets you free. Write because you control that world and everything and everyone in it. If you feel real life is screwing you, then create a new life on paper. But whatever you do, DON'T STOP WRITING. You never know what awaits you around that next corner.
Linda Mooney Getting lost in my own worlds, my own imagination.
Linda Mooney She was the last person on earth, and had been for the past fourteen months. So what was this creature moving and growing inside her belly?
Linda Mooney Oh, that's easy. I want to go into the Star Trek future. I'd love to travel through space, see other worlds and other species. Be a member of the crew!

Thanks for the question!
Linda Mooney I guess that could be the mystery of how I've managed to survive this long. I was severely abused as a child, and believe it or not, I was able to survive through books. From reading them and from my first fledgling attempts to write them. Books and music were my salvation and my escape. In addition, I am writing my memoirs as a catharsis, but if it's ever published, it won't be until certain people have passed so there will be no retaliation.
Linda Mooney If you're asking about my own books, it's Yulen and Atty from the Battle Lord Saga. If you're asking about other books I've read, it's Christopher/Lord Saxton and Erienne from A Rose in Winter by Kathleen Woodiwiss. If you're asking about movies, it's Navarre and Isabeau from Ladyhawke. :) The reason why? Their love got them through the worst life and the world could throw at them.
Linda Mooney Self-cations. I take time away from home to visit places I've never been. It gives me the chance to unwind, un-stress, and work out the kink so I can get back to my story.

Linda Mooney For AEquana's Quest: I always want to approach the usual with an unusual method. For the first book, AEquana, I wanted to show mermaids in a different way. After the first book was released, I had a lot of requests for a sequel showing AEquana and Talon's married life. And showing how AEquana dealt with living in freedom, instead of in the labs, which had been the only home she'd known all her life. And, they wanted more of Buck. :) Once I got an idea for the main plot, the rest fell naturally into place.
