Walking is great because it allows me to think and move at the same time. Carrying a notebook or a tape recorder wherever I go is also excellent since we all receive those "sudden flashes" of great ideas that we don't want to forget. That way I'm not forcing the issue, but rather creating an open door to allow some inspiration to rev me up.
