Will there be anymore Black Wings books coming in the future? I have read almost every book you have released, just finished Alice and going to start Red Queen soon. But that series is like.....when you pick up a book its like meeting with old friends and catching up on what they have been doing in there lives. It's comforting!

Christina Henry Sadly, the BLACK WINGS series was cancelled by the publisher in 2014.

Will there be a third installment of the Alice chronicles? I really enjoyed the first two.

Christina Henry No, there were only two books planned. I do have a Peter Pan retelling, LOST BOY, coming out in July if you'd like to try that!

I loved alice so so so much! it remains my favourite book to date. The language and writing style is so beautiful and is what captivated me into the story. How long did it take you to write Alice? And why did you choose to adress the serious issues in this book? - Sakura

Christina Henry It took me about six months to write. Shortly before I wrote the book I read an article about women affected by sex trafficking that had a very strong influence on me and those themes worked their way into the book as I was writing.

Christina Henry There were only two books planned - however, if you like dark retellings I've got a Captain Hook origin story coming out in July called LOST BOY.

Hi Christina, I am currently reading "Alice" with a group of girls at our school and we are loving this book!!!!! As the librarian my group of readers wanted to read something different so one of the girls brought in her copy and we started reading and can't put it down. We all have the series now. What a wonderfully amazing, dark twist to this classic piece of literature. Can't wait to read your other books"?"

Christina Henry Thanks so much, Deborah! I'd love to know what kind of discussions you had with your group. How old were the girls in the group? I'm always reluctant to recommend this book to teens because I think the material is challenging.

No question, but just wanted to let you know that I LOVED Alice. It was such a different retelling of a classic. I loved the darkness of it and I loved how you imagined each character to be. I'm currently reading Red Queen and I feel transported. I wish I could escape and just read the book straight through, but adult and mommy duties call.? :)

After Lost Boy are you planning to do any more retellings? Alice and Red Queen were so amazing. My favorite Alice in Wonderland retelling EVER! Super excited for Lost Boy! Thank you for sharing your work.

Christina Henry My next book after LOST BOY is an original work called HIS MERMAID - it's about P.T. Barnum and the Fiji mermaid.

I just finished the Black Wing series and I have read here that Black Spring is the final book. I was just hoping that maybe in the future there will be an offshoot series about "Adam 's" destiny?!? Any thoughts on that?

Christina Henry Hi Emily! Right now there are no plans to continue the BLACK WINGS series. I'm really glad that you enjoyed the series, though!

Christina Henry Hi there! Overseas releases depend on publishers in the individual country buying the rights and then translating the book. Right now no Spanish publishers have expressed interest in ALICE, but fingers crossed!

A couple of weeks ago, on my trip to London, I came across "Alice" in one of the Waterstones bookstores. I am very glad I did. I'm now on the final chapter and I an very sad the book is coming to an end. I was a wonderful story, very well written and I will absulutely buy the next book. I just wanted to say thank you for a beautiful story and a great adventure!?

Christina Henry Thanks so much! There is also a sequel, RED QUEEN. It is considerably less dark than ALICE, more of a fairy tale, but I hope you will give it a try as well!

First, I want to say, I've been had by Lewis Carroll inspired weird/speculative/horror fiction lots of times… too many times. Your book is the one I've read so much garbage to find. It FEELS like Alice, but it's not Alice. It's a well-written, astonishingly dark and scary incarnation of Alice that's entirely yours. I'm happy to have it on my iBooks shelf! What inspired you to write your Alice?

Christina Henry I've always loved ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND (it's one of the first books I remember reading when I was young). The character of Alice has really become imprinted in our cultural memory - everyone knows Alice and has a favorite version of her, whether it's from the original story or a film or an adaptation like mine. She's become almost mythological in that sense, and I wanted to play with that idea - take the skeleton of Carroll's story and put my own blood and muscle and skin on it.

I am on Book 7 of the Black Wing series and just noticed it was published in 2014 will there a book 8 and if so when? I become addicted to the series

Christina Henry Hi Retta, BLACK SPRING is the 7th and final book in the BLACK WINGS series. I've got a new duology out - ALICE and RED QUEEN - and two stand alone books coming out in the next two years.

Christina Henry Hi Ricky, Review copies will be available from my publisher, Ace/Roc books. If you are on Netgalley they usually put review copies up for request a couple of months before the release date.
