Anyone can tell a two-sentence horror story. You just need something, anything, to spark your inspiration.
For instance, here's a quote from my current new release, Hidden, which is ---NOT--- a horror story. It's an epic fantasy romance. This is a character named Gilly, thinking to herself: I didn’t say that aloud, did I?
Now here's my 2 sentence horror story, using the same phrase:
I didn't say that aloud, did I? Lips pressed tight, Melissa made herself as tiny as she could, lying flat under the floorboards, but the footsteps that had been moving away, turned and creaked toward where she hid.

I'd go to Anne Perry's Victorian London to meet Inspector William Monk and have him solve a crime for me.

Oh, good question Helena. I probably shouldn't answer it, for fear of offending the country I just visited, and loved visiting...but I do have an answer.
When I was in Sri Lanka in July 2015, I hadn't been there since I was 5 years old (which was eons ago, don't ask how long).
While there, I was working on the ending of my latest book in another Regency fantasy romance series. So, intentionally or otherwise, my travel experience began to channel itself into the ending I hand wrote in my journal.
Unfortunately, the end I was working on was about a trip into the underworld. I even questioned one of my cousins, a Christian pastor, on his conception of evil, the devil and hell. I hope he's not reading this.
Anyway, as a result of all of the above, my version of the underworld will likely have elements of Sri Lanka peppered throughout it.
