The inspirations come to me rather than me looking for them - something comes to me as I travel my path - some one or some thing or some idea - that brings me spiritual growth and I just know intuitively that it has to be something I share with others. We are all growing together and all seek the same uplifting stories. My job, my delight, is to help bring them into the world.

It is interesting that I don't really call it "writer's block". Instead I have periods when I need to step back and rethink whatever it is that I want to say to my audience. And I will mull it over while walking, riding, sitting in meditation. When I don't push or ponder too hard; when I don't fret and concern myself over imaginary deadlines, I find I can eventually make my way back to the computer and whatever I want to say begins to flow.

I find that as a writer I see the world in a most different way than my non-writer friends. Everything I see is a story. Everyone I meet has a tale to tell. Every step I take is a journey. And when these all come together in the written work and create a source of knowledge or comfort for another I feel I know why I am here on Earth: To help others follow their paths with strength and joy - and a touch of magic, as well.

Right now I am busy sharing the message of hope and peace that come from my newest book, Reflections From Beyond. Therefore, rather than doing much writing - i.e. blogs, articles, features - I am on the speaking circuit. That work is so very rewarding.

Most of my work finds its inspiration as i travel my personal path towards growth in inner strength, spiritual strength and - well accepting the twists and turns that come our way. And it is quite amazing, by the way, that when one begins to open up to the Universe, the Universe sends us the messages that supply the answers we seek. That becomes the words I share with others through my books, articles, blogs and speaking engagements.
