Sorry for the ridiculously late reply - I thought I got notifications for questions here, but apparently not!
In case you're still interested - no, I don't anticipate a series for that book. I feel like the guys are in a pretty good place and they can just stay there! (They did make an appearance in a cross-over short I wrote, combining them with the guys from my Dark Horse series - it's posted at http://katesherwoodbooks.com/2014/12/...

I'm so glad you enjoyed Mark of Cain - thanks for letting me know!
I definitely want to write Sean's story, but I kind of trapped myself when I made the consequences of his accident so serious - I'll need to do a lot of research in order to responsibly write about recovering from/adapting to a double amputation! So he's on my To Write list, but it's a pretty long list and he keeps getting shoved a little further down because I need to find time to do the research... sigh.
So... I definitely hope to write his story at some point, but I really can't say when. Sorry.

There are certainly audio books made of some of my OTHER titles - there's a list at http://www.audible.com/search/ref=a_s... (although you'll have to exclude the Best American Short Stories entry!
In terms of Wade? That'll be up to Riptide, the publisher. I imagine they'll make the decision based on sales of the regular books, but I'm not really sure about that.
Thanks for the interest, though!

Hmmm... I might go traditional and say Lizzy and Darcy...
More contemporary? I actually really liked the relationship in Speed (movie). It didn't go far, but I felt like there was a level of mutual respect there that I really enjoyed.
I'm not sure about others... need to think about this...

I haven't got any plans for more, no... but have you read the extras? They're free at ARe, or $.99 at Amazon - you can find the list of them, in the best order for reading, toward the bottom of the page at http://katesherwoodbooks.com/series/
Kate Sherwood
I appreciate the interest...
And I guess it makes a BIT of a difference, but... I still don't have any immediate plans.
Did you read the little update I did for the boys last Xmas? I think I posted it on my blog, maybe? It's a little extra, at least... yes, it's at ... http://katesherwoodbooks.com/2015/12/...

I don't, actually - I keep being told I should have one, but I just can't think of what on earth I'd put in it!
What kind of information were you hoping to find in it? Maybe I can steal your ideas!

I was thinking about it, but... I don't think it's actually going to happen.
In my own brain, I know he won gold and kissed both Evan and Jeff right there in front of the cameras at the medal ceremony. RJ was hugging their legs, and the rest of the gang was in the stands cheering like crazy.
I think that's going to have to be enough!

I don't have any real plans, no - sorry!
I never say never when it comes to writing, but I feel like the guys are in a pretty good place right now. Seems kinda mean to drag them back through the mud just to give me some drama for another story...

This question contains spoilers...
(view spoiler)[Hi, Kate.
I've just finished reading The Fall and Riding Tall, and I wanted to ask you if there is going to be a third book to the series, as there seem to be issues unfinished (like Will's relationship or Nick's future). And besides, I would love to know how Joe and Mac are doing... So any more books on the way? (hide spoiler)]

I have no plans for more - I feel like they're in a good enough place that I can leave them there with REASONABLE confidence they won't get themselves into too much more trouble, and that's about all I can ever seem to hope for from my characters!
Maybe a short would be fun, though, just to check in. Hmmmm....

I'm hoping to have it out in early to mid-June, but... I haven't written much more than that first section yet, and I have another project I have to finish before I can move on to it...
Definitely before the fall. Hopefully June. Is that vague enough to be frustrating?
I do appreciate the interest, though!

I'm sorry, but I don't think it will happen... at least the way things are right now. The main books are published through Dreamspinner Press, and they arrange for the translations. The extras are self-published, just for fun, and I don't really have the resources to arrange translations.
Sorry!

I have no plans to write more about them, right now, but I'm a never-say-never kind of writer when it comes to sequels. If I get the right idea, I might go for it. But there's definitely nothing on the horizon. Sorry.

I've definitely thought about it!
He's such a challenging, interesting character, and I'd love to do more with him. I was thinking about matching him with a physiotherapist or something, probably someone of colour (exact details still sketchy, obviously), and there'd be all of Sean's general anger, plus his prejudices, plus his internalized homophobia, PLUS his resentment at this person having power over him... it'd be pretty explosive!
But I have a very long list of things I want to write, and I'd have to do a lot of research to get the physiotherapy/prosthetics/rehabilitation process right, so... I keep finding easier things on the list for me to work on!
I'd definitely like to come back to Sean some day, but I don't think it's going to be anytime soon, unfortunately. (So many stories, so little time!)

I have no plans for a sequel, at least right now.
It's not so much that I think their story is over (I hope they go on to have many adventures and annoy each other and fight and make up for decades to come! I hope Finnvid is invited to sleep with a woman at a future festival and is a bundle of nerves about it until Andros talks him down and/or Theos persuades the woman to allow a threesome. I hope the example of peaceful integration that (I hope) is established between the two valleys in this story expands throughout the Empire and Theos and Finnvid are revered for centuries as great leaders and peacemakers. And of course I hope they keep having lots of hot sex!)
But I write romance, and I feel like the ROMANTIC conflict in this story is mostly resolved. Theos and Finnvid are together. They have their Happily Ever After. I'm not sure I want to mess with that just to have more time playing with them...

I have no PLANS for more, but I also have a bit of a pattern of forgetting about my plans if the right idea comes to me.
So... I'm not sure. But there's nothing in the works right now.
Thanks for your interest, though!

Dark Horse was my first book, and at the time I wrote it I honestly didn't know that past tense was expected. I mean, I'd read lots of books prior to starting to write, obviously, but I guess I'd read enough in present tense that I thought it was just one more random option to choose!
Looking back? I think the present tense helped make the book feel immersive - a lot of readers really identified with Dan, and I think part of that was because of the present tense. It was like we were going through everything with him as it happened. At the same time, quite a few readers found the present tense jarring and distracting, so obviously it wasn't a technique that worked for everyone!

I haven't heard any plans for it to be on audio, no.
And I'd LOVE to write more with Sean, but I'd have to do a lot of research to get the amputee part right, so I'm not going to do it until I have a big chunk of time. Better to not do it at all than to do a crappy job!

Oops, I missed this - sorry!
I don't have any PLANS for Alex, but that doesn't mean too much, really. If something comes to me, I'll definitely do it.
Part of the problem with him as a hero, though, is that he's so mentally healthy right now. Like, he's gone through some crap and has some scars, but he knows who he is and accepts himself and has good coping mechanisms. All of which is great, for a person, but is kind of challenging for a main character! I mean, what would he overcome, exactly?
Oooh, unless he was the strong, stable one who helped his partner find happiness... and on the surface Alex seems flaky, so his partner could be really solid on the surface and underneath be a mess, and Alex could be the reverse... hmmmmm...

You read both of them, The Fall and Riding Tall?
I don't know... I think I'm done! No plans to do more at least.
Glad you liked them!
