Shona Husk I enjoy it and if I ever get stuck I'm a firm believer in writing something until it clicks back together. I don't wait for inspiration.
Shona Husk Making up new worlds. I love creating and then being able to share the stories.
Shona Husk I don't know. A great line will make me smile at the time but I don't tend to remember them. Usually the best romantic lines are specific to the characters. So what is romantic to one couple may mean nothing to another.
Shona Husk I have plans to write Rogue in a Bottle, hopefully this year, or early next year. I have so much fun writing them, but I also have to juggle publisher deadlines. When I have more info I will post it. I'm glad you are enjoying the series!
Shona Husk I wrote a lot as a child. I started writing again about 10 years ago, with the aim to write a novel. The first 2 books I wrote live in the back of a wardrobe and will never see the light of day. 5 years ago my first novella was published.
Shona Husk The very 1st scene in the Goblin King came to me in a rush and then I had to work out what the story was. I wanted to write a paranormal romance that wasn't vampires or shapeshifters (I just written some vamps), and I was also interested in cursed heroes and the Beauty and the Beast tale (one of my favourite fairy tales). Roman Britain is also a fascinating period of history so I had all these things rolling around and I just needed a creature. Goblins were a feeding the baby at 2am idea. At the time I had a set of tarot cards that dipped into the darker side of fairy lore (another interest of mine that I explore in the Court of Annwyn series) so I don't think my subconscious had far to dig :). So the Shadowlands came from all tiny bits of ideas, but once goblins had popped up I knew that was what I'd been looking for to make the stories work. 3 different men, who experienced the curse (and the Roman takeover) very differently.
Shona Husk Hi Jill, I'm so glad you're loving To Love a King. I know I left Verden's happily ever after on edge at the end of Lord of the Hunt, but there is more of a resolution for him and Taryn at the end of To Love a King ;).

He also get's a mention in The Darkling Lord.
Shona Husk Read a lot and read widely. Don't be afraid to experiment with genre and voice. It can take a while to find your own style.
Shona Husk I keep writing. Sometimes I re-plot or step back and look at the overall story to see where I'm going. Or I switch projects, but I never just stop.
Shona Husk I'm writing The Darkling Lord, Annwyn #4 and doing the edits on Yours to Command, ES Siren #2 (a sci-fi romance series written with Mel Teshco and Denise Rossetti)
