Does Annie's Stories follow Grace's Pictures, or are the two novels stand-alone books? I loved Grace's Pictures, and I'm eager to read about Annie!
Cindy Thomson Thanks, Sarah! It does, however they each are stand alone. The order is: Grace's Pictures, Annie's Stories, and coming in November: Sofia's Tune. Thanks for reading!

What are you currently working on?
Cindy Thomson Book Three of the Ellis Island series and getting my first novel, Brigid of Ireland, out there as an ebook.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Cindy Thomson Genealogy has always been an interest for me. My first book, unpublished, was about my ancestors' journey to America. So writing about Ellis Island and immigrants during the early 20th century was something I wanted to do because I believe there are stories there that have influenced our lives today.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Cindy Thomson Read. A lot. Find a group or a mentor and learn the craft. I have more thoughts on my web site, so feel free to contact me over there.
