When I am faced with writer's block, the first thing I do is step out of self-judgment and reflect on what the issue may be. There are typically three reasons leading to my personal experience with writer's block. One, I am taking the story is in a direction in conflict with who the character is and the choices/actions I'm having them make. Two, the intention of the plot point is too broad. And three, I haven't taken the time to truly visualize the setting. As soon as I resolve one of these scenarios, the story takes off and my writing adventure resumes full speed.

The best thing for me about being a writer is having the option to escape into the world my characters live in. Although I have mapped out critical plot points for my stories, the details of the story unfold as I write it. I am often breathlessly excited to discover what will happen next!
