The answer to this varies from book to book! Right now I would go to Cradle, one of the worlds in Will Wight's Cradle series, join the Abidan and wage war against chaos on a galactic scale.
Tomorrow I might go down Sam Sisivath's Road to Babylon and fight ghouls. Stay tuned!

I have two best things about being a writer. One is that I get to create worlds. Vast, lively, mysterious worlds that are full of amazing adventures. Oh, the power of that! The second is that I get to share them. There is no greater reward for me than having moved someone to great imagining with my words.

I deal with writer's block head on. Sometimes you have to make yourself sit down and write for an hour. Anything, even if it is not the story you want to work on. The discipline of writing is a hard discipline so I throw myself at it. With a large cup of French Roast. Make yourself do the work but also focus on the fact that you have written.

Its more like my fall list. I am burning my way through Will Wight's Cradle series of 12 books. I am captivated. Then it is onto the next Glory Road book by Sam Sisivath.

Don't worry about getting published. Don't worry about marketing or social media or anything that comes after the writing. Just write. Get the whole story on paper. Nothing can happen until that's done.

The Divided Man Book Two, the next book in the Ghost Dance novels and a new post-apocalypse series.

Inspiration is easy. There are so many good stories to tell; they are all around you and inside you. Getting it on paper is harder. That takes grit, the resolve to push back against all the negative voices in your head that give you reasons not to write and a cup of good French Roast.

The idea for The Divided Man book series came from my studies of the Ghost Dance movement and the Wounded Knee Massacre. The Ghost Dance was a prayer that called for the land to roll up all the trappings of white civilization and leave the land as it had been. There were variations on this but that was the desire. I thought, "What if the Ghost Dance prayer had been answered?" And The Divided Man was born.
