Lizzie,
Saint is the second book in the series. I'm working on book 3 now (right now planning on a 6 book series in total). Also, Draxius Lost and Draxius Redeemed is a two-part set of serial novella that follows the Emily Martin character when she is a young Lt. In terms of reading order, I would say read Gateway and, if you like the Martin character, read the Draxius novellas and then move to Saint. You can read the novellas without reading the series and the series without the novellas as well and not miss any major elements. Thanks.

Sarah,
Draxius Redeemed should be available in the next few days (I am being told this weekend) on Amazon in ebook and then about a week later in paperback. It should have released last weekend but there were a few technical issues with the upload so it was pushed a few days. As soon as it is up, I will post on my FB page and twitter letting everyone know. Also, Saint is still scheduled for an early November release.
Thanks for your patience,
Brian

I actually had the idea for Gateway stuck in my head for about 18 years before I decided to set down nd write it...talk about procrastination.

It varies. Sometimes it's a movie, a song, or just some random interaction with a stranger on the street. Now that I've gotten a little more 'serious' about my writing I'll find myself going about my daily business at work, in a store, or driving down the road and thoughts like "that would make a good backdrop for a scene" or "how would one of my characters react to this situation" pops in my head and 'boom'-inspiration.

I am working on Book 2 of the Gateway Series (titled Saint) and in the developmental stage of a supernatural thriller set mostly in Depression-Era Appalachia.

I still consider myself and aspiring writer for two reasons. One, I'm still new to fiction. Two, aspiring also implies drive and a desire...kinda like that concept. For other aspiring writers I would simply say....start writing.

That’s easy. You get to be the undisputed master of your own universe. Not many other ways you can be a deity. That being said, I have had some characters (Captain Emily Martin!) that seem to want to tell their own story. And they (she) sometimes wins the argument.
Brian Dorsey
It depends. Sometimes I will try to ‘power through’ and fix it later. Other times I will skip ahead to another scene that is already much more developed (at least in my head). If that doesn’t work, I will just walk away for a while and wait for the universe to inspire me again; people watching, music, and movies help too.
