Whimsy was inspired by my (Brian's) late, great tabby, Linus. The name Whimsy arrived late, but was perfect as it is a unique type of puzzle piece that's cut into recognizable shapes, like an animal or a vehicle, and often represents the theme of the puzzle. The name also reminds us of Lord Peter Wimsey, the detective from the old Dorothy Sayers novels.
