Thanks for the great question. Sorry it has taken me so long to answer. I was just finishing my latest book: An African in Imperial London: The Indomitable Life of A.B.C. Merriman-Labor.
Merriman-Labor is a forgotten pioneer of African literature, and the hardest thing about writing his biography was not knowing how the story would end! When I began my research little was known about his life. It has been a joy and a challenge to do this work. What about you? What is the hardest thing about writing for you?

Writer's block comes, I think, when you stop thinking about the joy of writing and start focusing on fame, success, money, or what others will think of your work.

Finding or organizing a writing group can be one of the best things you can do. I meet with my group every other week. Knowing that your group will be expecting to see work from you every 14 days is a great way to stay on track with a project.
