Christine M. Butler DO YOUR RESEARCH!

You don't have to write what you know, as the saying goes, but you do have to know what you're writing. If you want to talk about guns, a medical diagnosis, how fast a corpse decomposes, or how long it takes to drive across a certain state - LOOK IT UP! I probably research and fact check no less than 20 things per book I write. It doesn't matter if it's fiction, even fiction is based around the facts we live with day in and day out (most of the time).
Christine M. Butler I started "writing" before I learned how to write. I used to tell stories out loud while scribbling what I thought was cursive handwriting into the blank pages of my Dr. Seuss books. ;)

I have always been a writer. It was never a choice for me. Living life is my biggest inspiration, and always has been, as a result.
Christine M. Butler This is an older question, but it applies to the whole series/world of books as well as my most recent title.

I love the idea of writing about the grittier world of the motorcycle clubs, but while reading them I always wondered what was going on with the families in the background. I wanted to drop readers into a different part of their world, and let them explore the family drama side of things a bit more than the constant biker club chaos that usually happens. So far, so good! ;)
Christine M. Butler I put most of the paranormal titles on hold because I needed to work a day job for a while. They've stayed on hold a while longer because of lack of interest. I'm hoping to get back to them in 2020.

I wish it wasn't that way, but writing books is a business. If I don't make enough money to keep the lights on with a book/series I either have to work 9-5 for someone else or I have to write something else.
Christine M. Butler The Daniels Clan Series got shelved for a while due to real life stuff, but that series will finally be seeing the light of day later this year (probably fall/winter).
Christine M. Butler Yes, but it won't be any time soon. That will probably come next year some time since I have other obligations to catch up on before I start those books. :)
Christine M. Butler I just finished up The Other Princess (Aces High MC - Charleston Book 1) and Redemption Weather (Aces High MC - Cedar Falls Book 1). Both are currently available for pre-order and release this month.

Next up is Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot (Aces High MC - Dakotas Book 2), which will be available for pre-order later in January and will release in early to mid February.

Finally, I'm working on getting the first two books in the S.H.E. MC Series finished up and published in February. I will also be re-releasing The Awakening Series, previously The Awakening Trilogy. I have a lot going on right now, obviously!

As soon as all of that is done I will be catching up on some more books later in the year that had to be postponed. Inferno (Death Viewers 2), Enraged (Vukodlak Brew 2), The Infinite Beat (T.I.E. 2). So, check back in as I'll be posting release dates and preorders for everything soon!
Christine M. Butler The absolute best thing about being a writer is sharing my stories with other people and watching or hearing about their reactions to the little worlds I've built. Reading has been a wonderful escape for me over the years, and to be able to give that back to other people is an amazing gift.
Christine M. Butler Usually, I put aside the writing and start working on graphic design. Many times I will simply switch to another book. Just because one set of characters stops speaking to me for a while doesn't necessarily mean they all do. This is why I have such a huge backlog of books that are anywhere from outline status to 80% complete.
