Mallory Kane Hi. I apologize for the delay in answering. You may already know this but Special Forces Father IS available on Kindle. I don't know why it wasn't showing as available when you looked. In case you need it, here is a link:

Thanks for checking on this!

Mallory Kane I'm writing NO SAINT, which will be the second book in my New Orleans Finest series for Tule Publishing. I'm not sure where the idea came from for Rick and Sin's story. But Rick came to me, as many of my heroes do, pretty much whole cloth. He appeared in my mind as a detective and a 'cowboy,' not interested in traditional authority, but definitely an honorable man, albeit with his own sense of honor. He's a good man, with his own opinion of the best way to do things and he's sure that he's the only one who can successfully protect the heroine. She, of course, has a diffrerent idea. Sin is definitely a match for Rick, and she showed up in my head soon after Rick did.

Love this question. Answering questions like this help me to cement my hero and heroine's journeys through the book. Thanks!

Mallory Kane The way I get into what I call "The Zone." is to listen to Pink Floyd. If you're not particularly knowledgeable about Pink Floyd, you may be thinking about songs like "Money," or albums like "Animals." But the Floyd (as they're known) have a lot of beautiful, lilting, flowing, soaring melodies, which I find particularly inspiring to my writing. So listening to Pink Floyd always does it for me.

Mallory Kane I'm currently working on the next book in my New Orleans Finest series for Tule Publishing. My first book in the series was NO HERO. My second book will be called NO SAINT. And then there will be a third book, which I hope will be titled NO ANGEL.

Thanks for asking!

Mallory Kane Getting to know readers. And guess what? In a lot of cases, writers are the biggest, best, most voracious readers. Writers and readers are some of the best people in the world, and I really enjoy talking with other writers and readers.

Thanks for this wonderful question.

Mallory Kane This is a great question. I've recently struggled with a lot of difficulty writing. Several things contributed. I was in physical pain and thought I might have to have surgery. I was depressed, mostly because of the physical pain. And my husband had recently had a medical scare, so I was worried about him.

What I would say about dealing with the inability or the loss of desire to write, is what I say to anyone who wants to become published. Never give up! I'd add this: think about and search out what always helps/ed you write. Do/did you write in a particular place? Do/did you listen to particular music? Do/did you drink quarts of coffee or tea, or sip fruit juice or chew gum or suck on hard candy? Whatever you discover, see if you can recreate the feeling you got when you were 'in the zone,' and writing well. If going back to those old tried and true places or activities or sounds doesn't work, try to find new and different ones that will.

Most of all, I'd suggest that you write every day, even if it's just a few minutes. Writing begets writing. Writing is the best way to get back to writing. What should you write? A little short story, the beginning of a book, even just how you're feeling. But write! Write! WRITE!

Good luck!
