Ten years ago, I was in a heavily abusive relationship. The trauma of my experiences was just shoved deep down in my mind and the anxiety, and PTSD has been affecting my current relationships. It's a really lonely, isolating feeling. I hope my story told through Valentina will help empower all victims of domestic violence. I know we can't overcome trauma and be mafia queens/kings, but if I was able to realize I could regain my power, and learn to trust again. Then anyone can.
