The only mystery that would even come close is who the arsonist was who burned down my parent's house many years ago. I have my suspicions, but the local police put very little effort into solving the case, so it's unlikely I'll ever know for certain.

Middle-Earth, of course :) I read "Lord of the Rings" when I was 14, and never wanted the book to end. Having re-read it many times, I was thrilled to visit the Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand a few years ago, the closest I'll ever get to wandering the Shire.
