Darlin', I have so many stories stored in my old brain that usually all I need is more time. However, having said that, music is my inspiration. I really like Country music. The words make me laugh and feel nostalgic too. Also old fashioned hymns inspire me. On my web site Pat Montandon @guru.com I have a tune from my childhood of church going. I'll fly Away, Oh, Glory...and so forth. Take a look at my web site and you'll hear it darlin'.

I'm working on my Texas tour for Peeing On Hot Coals: Drowning the Devil. It take lots of effort and hard work not only to write a book but to promote it. I very much enjoy meeting people and signing books and that sort of thing, but it does take time away from writing. My next book is Recipes For Conversation, a how to book for those who want to increase their friendships and feel at ease entertaining.

Well, darlin', I don't believe in writers block. I'm the only thing that can stop me from writing. But occasionally I need to push the refresh button at the back of my head and go sit outside and gaze at the clouds, puffy white ones that I can create crazy images from.

I can carry everything I need in my head and on a legal pad. I don't need an office and I don't have to cater to anyone, except myself. Sometimes I can be a hard taskmaster as my mind gets ahead of my ability to type. But then I stop and listen to music. I enjoy Country Music and laugh at the lyrics which relaxes me and takes me out of my head for awhile.

Always follow your own path and never let anyone pull you down. And keep at it: Write, write, write! The way to be a writer is so simple. WRITE!

My son, Sean Wilsey kept trying to find out why I never explained the reason I peed on hot coals when I was a young girl. I had laughed about doing that but had never really let that event sink into my awareness always treating the horrific outcome as a joke. But when I allowed my dormant brain cells to come alive and I relived that which I had hidden from myself, It was astonishing.
