I’m working on a new series of quilts called Big Grids with Inserted Curves. The quilt tops are made with 12” square blocks that I cut into to add curved elements. Everything is pieced!

To tell the truth, I’d rather quilt than write. When I was writing the manuscript for my book, I uncluttered my office, added a sound system, and played meditation/relaxation music. My biggest challenge was staying focused!

I made a quilt for a friend. Then I tried the same idea with different fabrics and got a completely different result. That excited me and I decided that the two quilts were the beginning of a series. I continued with variations on the same theme and turned the collection into a quilt book.
