Patricia Belyea I write as fast as I can without editing. Using a stream of consciousness approach, I can fool myself into thinking that I am not writing but just talking to myself.

Patricia Belyea To tell the truth, I’d rather quilt than write. When I was writing the manuscript for my book, I uncluttered my office, added a sound system, and played meditation/relaxation music. My biggest challenge was staying focused!
Patricia Belyea I made a quilt for a friend. Then I tried the same idea with different fabrics and got a completely different result. That excited me and I decided that the two quilts were the beginning of a series. I continued with variations on the same theme and turned the collection into a quilt book.
