Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Drew Yanno Probably not a "couple" in the sense that the question implies, but I would say Scout and Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Drew Yanno It would be difficult for me to answer this question without giving away a surprise or two. Suffice it to say that I had several vague ideas going into it and somehow managed to incorporate them all into the completed novel. None of it was based on any actual event, but instead pure imagination.

I have just finished The Smart One and went to post my review about this great book I just read and I wanted to mention the main character whom I really liked and I for the life of me could not remember his name so now I'm going back through the book and except for Ed Pinckney, this man did not have a name did he? Nor did his brother, ex-wife or niece? I am not crazy right these are nameless people?
Drew Yanno Melissa - First of all, thanks for reading the book and for the kind words. Secondly, you are not crazy. None of them were named by me. That was a conscious decision by me. I'd rather not explain why in a public forum except to say that I wanted the reader to wonder and, perhaps, come up with his or her theory as to why I chose to name some of the characters and not others. Again, thanks for reading the book. I certainly would appreciate a review and would be happy to answer any other questions you might have.
