Alice Outwater I assume writing position. For me, that's in my writing armchair with my lapbook open, with both water and tea on the table next to me, along with dental floss and lip balm. I don't know why dental floss seems like a writing accoutrement, but it does provide a contemplative break.
As long as I stay in writing position, sooner or later something will get written.
Alice Outwater I checked the mousetraps in the greenhouse this morning, and one had a set of mouse arm bones caught in it. Where was the mouse?
Alice Outwater I'm working on , a book about how American attitudes towards nature have changed in the last 200 years. I'm on Chapter 10 (out of twelve).
Alice Outwater I don't think writer's block is a thing with non-fiction, because there's always something I can do to move the book forward. If I don't feel like writing, I can research or fiddle with footnotes, edit or double-check. I can peck away at the mountain of work in a lot of different ways.
