Currently, I'm working on my own memoir/narrative nonfiction book called "The Things I Learned on the Bus." I am also toying with a possible cookbook follow up to "On the Rocks." We will see.

Don't give up. The writing world is not kind. There is so much competition, but be your own advocate and believe in your project and nothing will get in your way. Use the no's as motivation, not discouragement.

Definitely being able to take back your own pen and tell the story you want to tell. Also the flexibility of working everywhere and anywhere is quite nice too.

I wait until I have inspiration to write again. Sometimes I start by just writing something silly like a list and then expanding. I would rather not write than stare at a blank page.
