Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

John Doyle It's an updated, English-language version of something I did in German a few years ago. The idea came from personal experience of being an expat in Germany and the many ups and downs that comes with the title.

How do you get inspired to write?

John Doyle For me, the funny everyday interactions with friends, neighbors, and family, often inspire the kind of personal observations that fuels my writing.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

John Doyle You have to stop making excuses and just sit down and write. Regardless of whether it's good or not, you have to keep at it or you'll never finish anything.
