Tony Nash Hi, Manfred. Hope you received the answer before, but if you didn't, I'll repeat it. Since your first message regarding your book, I have begun two new novels, and thus my time is fully occupied with them, so I would not be able to take on any translation work at the moment. Have you researched getting traditionally published in Germany? If it's anything like the rest of the world, unless you publish indie, the odds against are something like a million to one. Add to that the cost of translation, etc., and you are on a loser all along the line. I do wish you every success, however, and a Happy Christmas.
Tony Nash The mystery of how I stayed alive for an hour and fifty-five minutes, sitting on the top of an upturned boat in the middle of rapids on a 35mph river, with a water temperature of 3C, and with water coming over me continuously - snow melt off the nearby mountain. When rescued, both doctors claimed that I was a b***** liar, and that no one lives for more than 15 minutes in water of that temperature, though I proved it conclusively. They changed their opinion to 'walking miracle', though it took two days to bring my body temperature back to normal. I have the firm opinion that he is saving me up for the position of chief stoker.
Tony Nash I sit down and write. It doesn't matter if it is all discarded later. The rhythm must be maintained.
Tony Nash It is the sequel to 'A Handful of Courage', which took the family to the end of the First World War. 'No Tears Tomorrow' sees the family about to enter the Second World War, and what becomes of the members. With a personal history of the spy trade and the 'Y' Service, the book centres around the men and women involved in those occupations.
Tony Nash I make sure that I spend at least two hours, and sometimes much, more writing.
Tony Nash Three novels, one set in Norway, the second a sea-going high adventure/criminal caper story, and the third, my first 'weepie'.
Tony Nash When a reader tells you your book is one of the best he or she has ever read.
Tony Nash Sit down and write.
