Dandi Daley Mackall Yikes! Brooke, I hope you got in touch through email or somewhere else and that I haven't written in a year! I'm so sorry. I write on these books every day, but I forget to check social media. I have no plans to write more about Winnie, but she and Catman are in the newer series, Starlight Animal Rescue. Maybe you've discovered those books by now?
My apologies for this delay! Dandi
Dandi Daley Mackall I chose not to believe in it. You can always simply write something else and come back to the thing that had you stuck. Or skip to a scene you can "see" already. Or write the ending. Or write a monologue.

Better go to work now-Dandi
Dandi Daley Mackall Besides getting to work in my jammies? Writing lets me disappear inside words, develop compassion, explore, grow. If I didn't earn a living at it, I'd still write like crazy,
Dandi Daley Mackall Read. And write! Seriously, you can't become a writer without doing those two things all the time. Be a learner. Take criticism and learn from it. I'm still learning, and I hope every book I write is better than the one before it.
Dandi Daley Mackall I am always working on several books at the same time. I've been writing the story of my parents, who were Army Dr. and Army nurse overseas in WWII and who left me over 600 letters they wrote to each other during the war. I'm also playing around with another mystery. AND I'm refining a fun, fun picture book on rock 'n' roll. AND I'm working on some rhyming books I may tell you more about later. I love my job!
Dandi Daley Mackall Inspiration is everywhere--in the outside world, and inside of me. I love animals and stars and the ocean and green pastures, and even snow. I do eavesdrop on people. When I do school visits (and I do a lot of them all over the States), kids spark ideas and inspire me. And God--hopefully, God is my inspiration always.
Dandi Daley Mackall Thanks an easy one! The Secrets of Tree Taylor is the most autobiographical books I've ever written. You could almost substitute "Tree" for "Dandi." I remember so many details from growing up in a small town in Missouri--glad for those memories!
