Toni House The first books I wrote was during the economic crisis of 2008, my business was suffering, the country, everyday people and families were suffering. It was a horrible time for everyone, so I wrote my first self-help book for families. I wanted to help if I could. Getting inspired to write it's just deep inside me, it's a part of me. So my inspiration is with me all the time.

Toni House Don't give up. Set very reasonable goals that you can live with, and read and write if possible everyday.
Toni House To actually see your own words in print, and that your readers want to read what you have written.
Toni House Writers block is real, there is always something that gets in the way. For example the series I am now writing I have been struggling with how to start the second book. I know where I want book two and book three to go and where I want it to end, but starting book two has been difficult. Another part of the puzzle is having enough time to write. (I work a full time job and run two part-time online businesses). So telling you all of this helps me with writers block, life itself helps. I can look around; listen to people, TV and radio. And I read any and everything I can. There are always stories that need to be told. Just look around. So once I have an idea I start an outline, I start with 50 chapters, or scenes, I write four or five words for each of the 50 chapters or scenes. Then I do it again for the same 50 chapters or scenes but this time I write a paragraph. If I cannot write the paragraph, there are two things I gauge: one do I have enough information, if not then I spend the amount of time needed to do research for the topics I am writing about. (Even though it is fiction, fact is a pre-curser for fiction). Two: if research does not give me the story that I am looking for then I put it to the side and start another story.
The thing is writing is not only about putting words on a page. It’s about the love and passion for writing, it’s about wanting to write a story to share, it’s about endurance, focus and the uncanny willingness to want to do the very best job you possible can. Writing is not easy. I wish you the best. Being an author is an amazing thing and is something one should be proud of once they have written any type of book.
