If you're sure writing is what you were meant to do, never give up, practice, practice , practice. A hit song-writing friend of mine once told me the advice he was given when he first started, " Once you think you've written that first hit song, go back and write 100 more, then you might have something."

I go for a prayer-walk, followed by a bike ride or a drive in my car to clear my head. If that doesn't work I move on to another project.
