Never give up. Always take a notebook everywhere you go, you never know when an idea pops into your mind. I always get ideas when I'm going to sleep. I leave a notebook by my bed.

There are so many things I love about being a writer. I love the journey you go on when writing a novel, watching your characters come to life and the story unfold.

Take my dog for a walk. Sometimes you need time to clear your mind. The fresh air, exercise and time out from writing give me the mind space for new thoughts and ideas to start flowing.
