My heartbeat quickened and I held my breath as the snarling became louder, the scent of death filled my nostrils and when I opened my eyes the shadowy figure was suddenly and inexplicably crouched over me.
I reached slowly, tentatively, towards my bedside table, hoping for something, anything, that I could use as a weapon, but just as my fingers closed around my alarm clock it began to buzz its inevitable wake up call, dragging me from sleep and replacing it with the horrifying realisation that if I did not get up RIGHT THEN, I would be late for work.

It's not a list, it's an ever expanding haphazard wall of books that stretches from the shelf that doubles as the headboard of my bed, and will soon reach the ceiling.
It's a very eclectic collection and includes titles by Iain M Banks, Anne Rice, Beck Grey, Melissa Polk, Chris Brookmyre, Celina Myers, Martin Millar, Bernard Cornwell, Brandon Sanderson, Robin Hobb, Philip Pullman, Patrick Rothfuss and so many, many more.
So many books! So little summer! I very much doubt I will get through them all, but I'm going to give it a very good go! :)
