My next book will actually be the story of Charles Patrice and Luisa Degrassy. I am hoping to have this out within the next two weeks as it is being edited right now. ” Marie Kelly

Marie Kelly Narnia. Any country you enter via your wardrobe and that you can live with talking animals and live your life before returning back to the real world and only having aged an hour is one I would enjoy living in!
Marie Kelly Hi Rbcaroline

Sorry not to have answered this earlier. I just got a notice of the question. My apologies.

The books from the alpha series are:

Blackmailing the billionaire...which is free on all platforms.
Saving Sophie
Saving the Billionaire
Billionaire's reluctant Bride
Watching Luisa

Hope you enjoy :)
Marie Kelly Thank you so much Amalia, I really appreciate that. I have never looked into making my books into movies, mainly because I am just a little indie author, but I am really glad you liked the book. 'The Lost Sister' is the follow up, which I only wrote after so many people asked what happened to the Dranias boys and their wives:)
Marie Kelly Hi Maddison. All of my books are currently published online with Amazon, itunes, kobo and B&N. The last one to be published was 'The Lost Sister' follow up to 'Kidnapped the wrong sister' and that was put out two weeks ago:)

As an indie author, I have more control over when I publish (or don't) the downside being it can be very tempting to procrastinate:)

Thanks Maddison:)
Marie Kelly Hi Pia

Sorry it has taken so long to reply! Since you posed the question I have published the final of the Alpha series - Charles Patrice and Luisa Degrassy's story - 'Watching Luisa'. Now, I am in the middle of editing the follow up to 'Kidnapped the wrong sister' - which is titled 'The Lost Sister'...seemed that it was time to revisit Diona and Nikias.
Thanks for the question:)
Marie Kelly Thanks for the question Maddison. Actually, I currently am looking at publishing all my books. Big scary step for me, being an indie...so doing it gradually.
The first book that will probably be published in print is going to be 'Secretary with Benefits for the Billionaire' (This one secretly always makes my eyes water:) but I think Kidnapped will follow it.
Marie Kelly hopefully in the next month. But my daughters wedding might delay that:)
Marie Kelly Hi MJ

Billionaire's Reluctant Bride is the 4th of a 5 part series. The other four are...Blackmailing the Billionaire (Carig and Joy's story) Saving the Billionaire (Emilio and Sally's story) Saving Sophie (Sophie and Cam's story) then Billionaire's Reluctant Bride (Anton and Celeste's story). There is a lot of intertwining going on with Reluctant Bride and Saving the Billionaire which was fun to do:).

The last in the series is nearly complete (well written anyway...) and will be Luisa and Charles's story.
Marie Kelly Hi Datta.

Firstly take a deep breathe and relax. Always important.

Secondly. There are those that do well planning things out, organising every minut detail before writing and then telling the story as per their prepared script. I would call these holistic writers, and there is nothing at all wrong with that. That is their preferred writing style.

Like you, I start with the story in my head, and then I begin writing. Unlike holistic writers, I do not always start at the beginning, but perhaps at a part of the plot that just happens to be very graphic in my mind. I then write that down and continue from there. What I often find, is that just by having one part written, the others follow.

One other thing I find is that the plot often changes, and I go with that. If my story seems to be going in a different direction than the one I had originally planned at the start, then so be it, just in your head adjust your overall story. Be flexible and just enjoy the ride. Your story will be better for it rather than trying to force your storyline back on course. - more a 'lets see where the story takes us'

It sounds to me as though you are more like myself, while feeling you have to be a holistic writer. Sit down, and write the one scene that is foremost in your mind, then take it from there. If you find another scene starts to demand to be written...then go with it.

When I write Datta, I have so many different scenes done, it often seems that they will never be connected, but you know what...they do, they get there and often it is easier because I know where I am starting and where I am ending. Once you have enough of your book done, you will find ways of connecting them.

Good luck to you, and remember to have fun and follow your own preferred writing style

Best wishes

Marie
Marie Kelly Sophie Patrice was the next logical character in the series after Carig Calle and Emilio Muniz. However, other stories have been inspired by things such as songs. My previous book - The Russian's Deal' was inspired by the song Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri.
Marie Kelly Again, never really needed to be inspired. It is just something in me that has to happen. When the idea takes enough shape (and there are often many ideas happening at once) then there comes a point in which it needs to be put to paper. Not so much inspired to write as needing to write.
Marie Kelly Currently working on the third story of the 'alpha's series' This will be Sophie's story.
Marie Kelly Don't let anybody put you off. If you have a story within you, then get it down. Then let somebody edit it for you. The act of creating a story and the role of editing do not necessarily need to be done by the same person. Each have their special skills and each will make your idea shine
Marie Kelly The best thing about being a writer is doing something I truly love. When growing up I was often called a dreamer, but now I realise that I was just preparing for writing!
Marie Kelly Don't really suffer from it. Quite the opposite in fact. So many plots swirling around make life difficult sometimes, and focusing on one idea can be hard. However, I find when I have an idea with potential, writing down a synopsis is often enough to silence the little voices.
