Hi Ashley, sorry for the slow reply. I don't visit Goodreads very often. Also, apologies if I've answered this elsewhere, but yes, all my books are ebooks. Conventional publishers won't touch me with a barge-pole. I did try printed books on Lulu.com, in the early days, but never sold any except the ones I bought myself.

Writers spend as much time in quiet observation of the world as they do writing. Overlay the observed world with your imagination and things begin to happen, scenes open up, potential stories present themseleves. Half of them are duds but the rest have a real energy about them, like opening your sail to the wind, and then the stories write themselves.

Just write. Everything's against you: common sense, the publishing business, you name it. Working though all of that, the setbacks, the disappointments, it's about growing yourself as a person, even if you're still writing after forty years and still nobody's heard of you. The person most served by your writing is always going to be you.
