I just sit down and get on with it. There are usually so many ideas floating around in my head that I don't have any trouble spending all day at my computer.

Many of the settings and incidents are based on my experiences in the RAAF when I spent a lot of time in New Guinea and SE Asia. The stories just kind of flow, but I do tons of historical research as well.
