Rusty Blackwood A mystery is just that, a mystery. I base a large amount of my work on my life, drawing from it, and moulding it into something a reader might enjoy, however that might be, but as far as devulging a mystery, I would have to say that that is private, however, wondering where certain people disappear to, and why, would make an interesting story, yet I don't know if I would be inclined to write about that. Thanks for the question.
Rusty Blackwood She looked intensively into the fog-shrouded street, watching the cloaked figure move slowly toward her. As it crept closer, she turned to run yet something was holding her back.
Rusty Blackwood I believe it would be to the fictional world in my latest novel, The Perils of Autumn, and take part in daily stable life at Landon Lawns Stables, possibly even take part in show events with a few of the beautiful horses that compete.
Rusty Blackwood Sorry to say I haven't chosen any since I read Bestowed By Love and Splendor by Gina IaFrate in late spring. Now that summer holidays are over, I am returning to my new manuscript, Return to Autumn, the follow-up novel to The Perils of Autumn and I rarely read someone else's work when I writing a new piece.
Rusty Blackwood My thanks for a suburb review, Cat. In answer to your question, I would have to say that I didn't find it a challenge bringing my characters to light in this new novel, but rather finding the right light to present them in a way where they could inter-act both believably, and comfortably together. Some characters have multiple interactions between themselves, whereas some have nothing to do with those who interact often, yet are still part of the story being told.
Rusty Blackwood This may sound bias, and maybe it is, but my favorite fictional couple is Joy Wychmere & Cullen Malone from my romantic fiction drama, 'Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary', and the reason for this choice is because these two, who are star-crossed soul mates, manage to find themselves once again, but when they come together, they are instantly thrown into a life threatening battle that plagues them throughout the story, and makes the reader aware of just how timeless and strong the bond of love can actually be.
Rusty Blackwood I'm a hopeless romantic who believe in soul mates and love everlasting. This was how I outlined Passions in Paris: Revelations of a Lost Diary, and pretty much where I got the idea for it.

For Willow's Walk, my most recent romantic fiction drama, I decided to write a story that revealed what it is like to be on the receiving end of a sadistic 'joke', to be maligned both physically, and mentally until you are left contemplating further reason for living. A person can only be pushed so far, until they fight back, or die trying. This novel also depicts the dark side of the internet, one that truly exists, and one that continues to claim victims.
Rusty Blackwood Inspiration can come from anywhere at anytime. But I do find my strongest, and I would have to say my best inspiration when my emotions are in full swing, however that may be. I write from my heart, and however my heart is feeling at the time I sit down at my keyboard.
Rusty Blackwood A new romance/drama entitled 'Willow's Walk'. This graphic and touching story centers on Willow Sutherland-Crosby, a precocious woman who blunders from one upsetting situation to the next, one husband to next, until she meets a much younger man via the Internet which throws her into a complete tail-spin. Throughout all of this, she is constantly encountering difficulties with her estranged husband, who is determined to bring her down.
Rusty Blackwood Write what you know, and research in depths what you don't. By doing this you will find your task a much easier one than stepping blindly into areas where you may become discouraged because you have lost your way.
Rusty Blackwood The reward of accomplishment.
Rusty Blackwood I usually step back from the project for awhile, maybe work on something else, or sometimes nothing at all. I always find by taking a long relaxing stroll by the water helps me to reflect on a number of things, and then when I return to the area that was causing me difficulty I find I have a new prospective toward it.
