My latest book, 'Sweet Dreams Baby Belle', was inspired by a tombstone in the old Biloxi City Cemetery. Baby Belle died when she was very young, but we know little about her. The book is fiction, but I continue to visit her grave site whenever I'm in Biloxi. If you're ever there, please leave a flower on her grave for me.

I found out I had epilepsy in my thirties and had to quit work. It was then that I started writing. It was really therapeutic and I just considered it a hobby. But, friends and family enjoyed my books and encouraged me to seek publication.

There are a couple of things that I really enjoy about being a writer. One is the research. It often takes me to some very interesting places. I've visited death row, the Medical Examiner's Office, hospital morgues, and cemeteries in the middle of the night...just to name a few. I also enjoy working in my pajamas!

Whenever I get to a point in my novels that I'm stuck, I often take a few days off to let it just simmer in my head. It usually seems to work itself out. (Knock on Wood).
