I've always got several project going. I'm currently finishing up a murder mystery with psychics and dogs set in Las Vegas; I'm also working on the second Steampunk novel.

Writers evolve through writing every day and reading frequently (not just books in your genre). A year from now, you're going to be a different writer--hopefully a better writer. So, allow yourself to be on the journey. Write every day and read. Read lots of fiction in different genres and lots of writer craft books. And, did I mention, write every day.

I never feel I have writer's block. I tend to have three or even four writing projects going at one time and I simply move around them, which keeps me interested in writing. I'm also always researching new ideas through reading, attending events, and taking Friday Field Trips to interesting places around Nevada.

I'm always reading. Currently in the queue are Like People in History by Felice Picano, Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Light Between by ML Stdman, and The Road by Cormac McCarthy.
