Brita Addams The book I'm working on was inspired by a horrible crime committed in New Orleans in 1834.
Brita Addams I'm working on my second story set in turn of the century New Orleans. This story, tentatively called Mysterious Moonlight, follows a vampire police detective who must deal with the repercussions of a crime committed nearly a century before. A little different for me, but I love the two characters and this story pulls in many aspects of New Orleans.
Brita Addams Read about the craft. Understand the craft. Writing isn't merely setting down words on a page. Understand grammar, passive voice, filters, and myriad other issues present in too many works. Characters should be multi-dimentional, stories should have depth, with fully thought out plots.

Read, read, read.

Brita Addams I have the opposite of writer's block. I live with an urgency to write as much as I can and never run out of writing options. I have more stories than I'll ever have time to write.
