I am currently reading FirstLife (An Everlife Novel) by Gena Showalter and am loving it! I have the other two in the series here at my house waiting for me. I am so thankful the local libraries are open during this COVID time! I have reserved If It Bleeds by Stephen King but it will be a long wait.

My favorite fictional couple is and always will be Heathcliff and Catherine from Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. I was forced to read this book in college and immediately fell in love with everything about it. I couldn't believe I hadn't read it before. Their love triangle can get quite confusing at times, so it actually was beneficial that I had to take notes for my class. Either way, it is my go-to book that makes me remember how much I love reading and how much I love writing! <3

The Girl Who Saw Words is actually based on how I see the world. It wasn't until I was almost 30 when I realized that not everyone saw words when people spoke (or when they speak or think, etc.). It still boggles my mind to think that other people don't have that. How can they not?! :)
I always enjoy hearing of other people that have synesthesia. That is great that your daughter is becoming a teacher! I am also a special education teacher; it is a great field to be in! All the luck to her and you. <3

Inspiration comes in many different ways. It can come from a dream, daydreaming, a random thought that goes haywire...anything. You never know when it will strike or where.
Writing is something that makes me happy, content, relaxed. There is nothing better than using your imagination and just going with an idea to see what happens. It is amazing how the story will take you places that you never thought of going.
I don't have a lot of time due to teaching and spending quality time with my son so I have to wait to write until he sleeps or I might take a few hours and get inspired at the library or a coffee shop. You do what you have to do in life.

The best thing about writing is truly just expressing my thoughts however I choose. It is the thrill of a new idea reaching me, writing it down, and the surprise at how the story will create its own life. I love everything about writing.

I actually struggle with this. As a mother and also a teacher, my time is limited. There are plenty of days where I am completely exhausted; where I just don't have any thoughts left for writing. So I let myself recharge. I give myself that time. I might not write for a day or a week, but I try to not go any longer than that. At that point, I would have to make myself just sit down and write. Write about anything and everything. Write until finally a good idea occurs. Everyone deals with writer's block differently though.

My advice is to be a writer and write. Do not consider yourself an aspiring writer. You either are a writer or you are not. So don't think about it; don't dream about it; just write. Follow your passion and write for yourself. Be proud of what you write and stay true to you. Hard work brings success.

I am writing a series called "The Making" and I am completely in love with it. It has everything: sex, love, passion, deceit and murder.
