Bev Dulson In Read All About IT, there is an angle in the story relating to the Titanic which is something I've always been intrested in and the White Star Headquarters are now a posh hotel in Liverpool which is were my movie star is staying, who happens to have had family onboard the Titianic who survived. That gave me the basic of the story and then I needed the main plot which is the abandoned baby. I used to work for a newspaper, so the journalist was an easy addition and everything else seems to just fall into place after that!
Bev Dulson It's like a drug, I have to do it, if I didn't my head would explode so I find it quite easy to put pen to paper (old skool!)
Bev Dulson My WIP is called Read All About It and is set in Liverpool and features a journalist working on a story about a baby left in a cloakroom in department store 18 years ago. It also features a very hot American actor who is on location in Liverpool and somehow ends up getting dragged in to solve the mystery. There are lots of secrets and under hand antics going on. It's fun to write!
Bev Dulson Just do it...grab a pen (one that writes nicely) a nice pad and jot down your ideas, then when you're ready, open a word doc and let the ideas flow. Let your imagination run wild.
Bev Dulson Being able to sit at my living room table and escape to a beach house in LA, a cruise ship in the Caribbean or a penthouse in New York - it's like having my own flying carpet. Also creating characters with outlandish names is one of my favourite things to do.
Bev Dulson I generally listent to music, normally a line in a song will help or I'll have chat with my writing buddy, Cat and we can normally thrash out or ideas together.
