ETA on Book 4 is roughly by Xmas/January. At least, finishing the manuscript. Add in a month or two of copy editing/revisions, and we're looking at... Feb/March? Thanks for giving them a shot!

Hey Martin, that's a great if complicated question. I queried back in the day (2009-ish), and got as far as having Neil Gaiman's agent requesting a full manuscript before being turned down. So I started indie publishing, and have never looked back.
I'd do the same today, because the answer as to whether to go indie or trad comes down to how many hats you like to wear, and I like to wear all of them. Indie publishing is akin to being a small business owner. You need to not only write the book, but then hire a copy editor, a cover artist, either learn to do the layout yourself or hire someone to do that, and then figure out marketing, community, and launching. I find that all incredibly fun, and know that nobody in the trad sphere will ever be as motivated as I am to launch books to the best of their ability.
But. If you only want to write the books, then hand them off to someone else because none of that appeals? Then trad is the way to go.
If you have any follow-up questions, don't hesitate to drop me a line at pwtucker@gmail.com. Always happy to help. Cheers, and congrats on writing your novel!

I'm guessing 6-8? Depends on how things play out!

I removed it for reasons I can no longer quite remember... I think it felt too 'off brand' for what I've been writing these past few years? But if you email me at pwtucker@gmail.com I'll send you the last two books for free.

Apologies for the late response, but I'm glad to report book 2 is coming out this April.

Glad to say it's this April!

Great question, Trent! So, some of the planes are physically connected, such the island of Agerastos being across the sea from Ennoia, and with Aletheia floating above Ennoia's land mass. Others are reachable only by portal, such as Bythos, Nous, and Sige.
In my mind, they are all part of the same planet, but imagine New York, Sydney, and South Africa being connected by Portal; to the traveler on foot they might as well be on different planes of existence. Hope that makes sense!

Hey Jesse, I'm thrilled that you liked the first two books! Those reviews for Book 3 are from backers of my Kickstarter, who received digital copies early. I think you can still pledge via Backerkit to get a $10 copy of Killer Dungeon, though it's still currently without the art work and fancy formatting. If you'd like to take the plunge, you can grab a copy here: https://death-march.backerkit.com/hos...
Otherwise, October 4th is just around the corner!

Thank you! It's hard to figure out where I'll go next - I've been meaning to return to epic fantasy with a sequel series for The Chronicles of the Black Gate, and am also exploring a classic tale of revenge set in a gritty fantasy metropolis from the point of view of a betrayed thief. My hope is that as I achieve a modicum more success - and thus security - I can begin to be more experimental with my writing, indulging in stories that might not have quite as broad an appeal while perhaps providing me a chance to say something new. Regardless of where I go, the journey itself is proving incredibly fun. Cheers!

I did! What an honor. Very cool to be so featured, and thanks for the head's up.

A common theme in 4 to 5 words? For an epic fantasy author, that's a brutal challenge.
