Sadly, through witnessing family and friends struggle with cancer. In some cases, watching family and friends lose a loved one to the disease.

Don't ever give up! Keep learning about the craft. Network with people. Write every chance you get, even if it's in the form of journaling. Do plenty of reading; especially in genres you don't normally read.

Being a writer is good therapy. You get to do things you would never dream of in real life. You can work out any of your issues on paper. It's also away to escape everyday life. You can create worlds and fill it with interesting people and experiences.

I change the method that I'm using to write. For instance, if I'm typing I change to pen and paper and vice versa
