That's a good question, actually. Most authors -- myself included -- do draw upon experiences and feeling to bring authenticity to our writing. As for me, I think one of my life's mysteries are the roads not taken in my life at pivotal moments. The poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost has always stuck with me, and I can't help wondering "What If?" at times.

The new series is officially called the Peter Naughware Chronicles, and the first novel is titled "Naughware to Run".

Hi Michlle, and thank you for your question. I regret that I’m unable to promise you a 2020 release date for my next Sunset novel (Sunset Burning), and I apologize for the time it’s taking to bring that project to fruition. For a time, those characters took a “vacation” from my imagination and I looked to new inspired projects and characters during their hiatus. That being said, Katrina, Caleb, Paige, and Alton have recently returned with renewed vigor into my imagination, and I’m looking forward to continuing our journey together.
As I recently replied to other dedicated Goodreads readers, a critical challenge in my writing progress is that I both work a challenging full time day-job, and teach history classes during evenings, which leave little time to devote to my writing endeavors and makes release dates very infrequent for my novels. However, I’m on course to write in a full time capacity in the next few years, which will greatly improve the frequency of my novel releases.
Also, I have a new novel release coming this spring/summer that’s a “new” character and series for you to enjoy. Thank you for your kind support and patience as I strive to complete high quality novels for you to read!

Hi Kevin, and my sincere apologies for this delayed reply. I’m not engaged in social media as frequently as I’d like to be. Thank you for your question, which is one of the most popular queries that I receive. It’s been some time since my last Sunset novel release (Sunset Rising), and I regret the time that’s it’s taking to complete the sequel. As I recently replied to another dedicated Goodreads reader, I’m actively writing on the Sunset Burning novel. However, a critical challenge in my writing progress is that I both work a challenging full time day-job, and teach history classes during evenings, which leave little time to devote to my writing endeavors and makes release dates very infrequent for my novels.
In seeking a hopeful closing to my response to you, I do have a new novel release coming this spring/summer that’s a “new” character and series for you to enjoy. In addition, I hope to improve my writing progress in the next couple of years when I’ll finally be able to pursue writing full time. Thank you for your kind patience and support as I continue the march forward with high quality fiction for you to read. I appreciate you!

Hello Akshay, and thank you for your question! I’m doing well, thank you, and I’m actively writing. That being said, I’m not able to provide a precise release date for another novel in the Logan Bringer series because that project is on “temporary hold” in my writing list.
One of the biggest challenges I face is that (at this time) I both work a challenging full time day-job, and teach history classes during evenings. That leaves little time to devote to my writing projects, which makes release dates very infrequent for my novels. However, I am actively writing on Sunset Burning (a much bigger project than I originally anticipated).
On a positive note, I do have a new novel release coming this spring/summer that’s a “new” character and series for you to enjoy. As for my future projects, I hope to improve my writing progress in the next couple of years when I’ll finally be able to become a “FULL TIME” writer. Thank you for your kind patience and support as I strive to bring high quality novels to your reading list!

Hi Michelle,
I wish that I had a firm answer for you. However, I'm working very diligently to complete the manuscript, which is still under development/writing. Thank you for your patience, and I only want to release a manuscript to my editor once I feel that it reaches the high quality standards that my readers deserve.
Kind Regards,
Jaz

Hi Reanna! (Believe it or not, I only just realized that your question was here in Goodreads.) I'm part "pantster" and part "plotter" when it comes to my writing style. I like to have a basic structure written out for the main arc of a novel or series, but I leave room for spontaneous developments to arise during the writing process. That makes writing even more exciting for me!

Thanks for asking, Kody! I would love to see the Sunset Vampire series in audio book format. However, I'm not sure when that will happen as the search to secure a "reader" continues. Given a delay in my writing schedule, I believe the foremost effort at this time is focused on completing outstanding manuscripts for ebook and printed book release.
Jaz Primo
Hi Kody! Thank you for being a dedicated Sunset Vampire fan! My apologies on the confusion. The estimated release date for Sunset Burning was unexpectedly shifted due to writing schedule complications. That being said, the revised release date is anticipated at late 2019 or early 2020. Expect to see revised release date projections posted across the internet in the near future. Happy Holidays!

Hi Akshay! Thank you for your question!
Based upon my current pace of writing and progress, I suspect that Sunset Burning should be available sometime in 2018. However, I'm also working on other new material that may be available even sooner. Please subscribe to my newsletter at http://www.jazprimo.com/jazs-blog/ to keep updated on my progress. Hi Fred, and thanks for your question! The manuscript is still in the early stages, so I don't expect the release until sometime in early to mid 2017. I appreciate your patience! I love when my novels have a positive influence on readers. I get a warm fuzzy every time a reader tells me that my stories helped them to escape and overcome occasions of stress or challenges in their life. It makes me feel as if I've helped make the world a brighter place.

First, follow your passions and write what you feel inspired to create. Don't try to chase popular market trends. Next, never present your novel to the general public until a professional editor has completed editing your manuscript. And finally, don't forget to experience real life while you're writing; those real life experiences can help shape your inner creativity and character development for your writing.

(August 2015) I'm essentially performing storyboarding for a number of novels, including Sunset Burning (Sunset Vampires, Book #6), Bringer's Law (Logan Bringer, Book #3), and a couple of other fantasy projects that I'm waiting to surprise readers with in the not too distant future.
