Hi, Tammy. Thanks for asking. I've been doing more writing, but publishers move at glacial speeds. I wrote another medical thriller (currently titled DEAD IN THE WATER), but Thomas & Mercer turned it down and other publishers have been very slow to respond to my agent. I'm not familiar with Kobo; I assumed DYING TO REMEMBER was available there, but you could be right. The publisher has been doing all of the marketing, and they decide where and how the book is published. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but for what it's worth, I appreciate your interest. By the way, DYING TO REMEMBER is my favorite medical thriller.

I've never had a reading list. I spend much more time writing than reading, and when I'm not writing novels, I'm usually doing photography or writing a bird book or something similar. The last book I read was The Bell Jar. Sadly that's the only book I've read this year. I have no idea what my next one will be, not counting all the rereading I do for rewrites of whatever I'm working on at the moment.

That's an interesting question, but my life doesn't contain any noteworthy mysteries, and for that I'm grateful.

Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. I liked the combination of torment and passion.

My most recent book is THE CHIPMUNK BOOK, and it's being published in the next few days. The idea for it evolved over time, but it began when I saw chipmunks eating food that I put out for the birds. People complain about squirrels and chipmunks eating bird food, but I always figured that they have as much right to it as the birds, and I decided to create something that might help people appreciate these animals instead of considering them pests.

For me it's more of a compulsion than an inspiration. Many writers set aside some time each day and force themselves into a routine. I don't do that. I tend to write late at night but only when I have the time and inclination. I usually also do a lot of writing on vacations, especially while I'm traveling.

I just completed THE CHIPMUNK BOOK. It's a nature/photography book that will be published as an ebook in a few days.

Don't give up, but do find another way to make a living.

The feeling of bringing characters to life, creating something that didn't previously exist.

When I can't think of anything new or when I'm stuck in the middle of something, I'll usually work on a different project (e.g., rewriting another story). I spend more time rewriting than I spend creating new material.
