I put it down, meditate about it and let the universe do its thing and I come back when an idea pops into my head. If I love it I keep going. If I don't, I repeat putting it down and meditating. I don't force it, I will figure it out when the time is right.

Don't hold yourself back, anyone can write. Read a lot of books in the genre you want to write in and figure out what you like and don't like. This journey is yours and anything is possible.
Don't get frustrated. I wrote 5 different drafts of Bentley's Fantabulous Idea before it became what it is now. There isn't a timeline, you take what you need.

Marketing Bentley's Fantabulous Idea and putting out ALL of the fires that come with that (Ingramspark sent my proof copy with someone else's book inside my cover LOL) and working with a printer to do a print run of my book.
Writing wise I just finished up the reader's guide for Bentley's Fantabulous Idea and have written my second book that will launch in the spring.

Ever since I got Bentley and was house training him there was a very very large bumble bee that would come around every time we were outside so I started thinking about "The Adventures of Bentley & the Bee". Never had the time to fully write a book back then. When my Mammalw passed away I knew I wanted to honor her in some way and that is where Bentley's bestest not-furry human friend comes in to play. Betty is named after my late Mammalw. I tried writing the book about Bentley & Betty's friendship and never liked any of them and I literally woke up in the middle of the night with the singing phrase in my head and the idea of Betty's school assignment dilemma.
