Greetings Raphael. This is a great question and I love Venice also. But I lived in Rome and and know the city from the inside, so I felt more qualified to write a book about Rome, since it is based on my experiences.

Great question. When I was last in Athens, I encountered a black dog, who followed me up the hill at night. The next night the same thing happened. I concluded that this dog must live on the Acropolis. I started to wonder what the world looked like through the eyes of that dog. That is how the story was born.

"She Seduced Me: A Love Affair with Rome". This book invites the reader to become part of the city from the point of view of its stories. Some chapters are about my own experiences and insights of specific sights in Rome; other chapters are interviews with street performers, expats, restaurant owners, painters, Romans and Italians who have moved there more recently. The book is humorous, informative, insightful and makes for a fascinating read.

Rome is made of stories; each building, painting, street performer and tourist has their own story. The book came to me in a flash as I was walking through Trastevere in Rome. I thought it would be fascinating to pursue these stories and bring the reader with me.
